My creative career spans two decades developing customer-focused Web
sites and printed communication pieces. I have twenty-one years of communication
design experience in graphic user interface development and print design
in fast-paced corporate and academic medical center settings. Secondary
focus on multimedia development and illustration. Nine years of experience
in project and staff management. Proven ability to estimate and manage
complex interactive projects and to keep them on track and on budget.
I am adept at coordinating diverse units with competing interests to

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2001 – present: Internet Marketing Manager
University of Kentucky UK HealthCare Marketing Department, Lexington,

- Manage
marketing program to develop awareness of UK HealthCare brand and services.
- Provide
creative lead and supervise staff in development of cohesive Web-based
and print marketing campaigns, including ads, service brochures, direct
mail, billboards, and newsletters.
- Designed
new UK HealthCare Web interface, including complete site reorganization
and patient-focused navigation; leading Web team to create a consistent,
robust, portal-based presence.

in obtaining cooperation between hospital, clinics, doctors, and academic
units in use of templates, central SQL database and Content Management
System.
- Coordinated
and approved video ad spots, photo shoots, and activities of ad agencies.
- Streamlined
production methods, developed an on-line project tracking system, and
worked to raise staff competence to reduce reliance on outside designers,

TECHNICAL
SUMMARY
Extensive experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite:
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, PageMaker; QuarkXPress, and
with Web design software such as Macromedia Dreamweaver and Contribute;
the Microsoft Office suite. Familiar with Toolbook, Corel suite, Adobe
Premier, HTML, JavaScript, Macromedia Flash and Fireworks in Windows
and Macintosh environments.
